Little Heroes is an international kindergarten and preschool for children aged 1–6 in Helsinki. The kindergarten offers individualized early childhood education plans for each child; supporting the child’s personalstrengths and providing assistance in meeting their everyday learning experiences

Little Heroes combines diversity, equality and trustas its core values. The concept is based on the Finnish early childhood education plan, international STEAM education and Little Heroes learning periods.The teaching content of the learning periods has been developedby professionals to cater specificallyto the needs of young children who are yet to begin the school curriculum.

The language of instruction at Little Heroes International Kindergarten is English. In addition to English, thechildren receive weekly language showers in Chinese, under the guidance of a native language teacher. English and Chinese are among the most widely spoken languages in the world and we believe that exposure to these languages at an early age will not only enrich the children’s learning experience now, but it will open doors of opportunity in the future. Of course, Finnish, as the language of the surrounding community is naturally a part of everyday life for many of the children at Little Heroes, during play, at mealtimes and as the children settle for their nap.
